After a day-long speculations about the leaders behind the hired goons who seemingly terrorised Nairobi City CBD, on Tuesday by beating Albert Ojwang’s protesters while shouting that there is no demonstrations in the city, have finally been unmasked by the Standard Newspaper today.

According to the paper, two top leaders in the country have been linked with the thug group which was armed with sticks and other small weapons. They include Nairobi City County Governor Johnson Sakaja, who is allegedly to be the one who hired the goons in a claim to protect people’s businesses.

The goons are reported to have came from Governor Sakaja’s City Hall office, since some of them were even wearing the Nairobi County t-shirts. The other person who is alleged to be behind the goons is the Inspector General of Police (IG) Douglas Kanja. Since the goons were being protected by the police as they attacked protestors and vandalised properties. The IG is yet to say anything about that incident up to now.
