Today’s midday tragedy on the Nairobi Mombasa highway was caused by a fatal accident that left 42 people critically injured. Reliable reports state that everyone on board suffered critical injuries when a 42-seater bus overturned near Signature Mall in Sabaki on the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
According to trustworthy witnesses who were present at the scene, the driver lost control of the car and it overturned on the busy highway at around noon . Emergency services which responded to the calls rushed to the scene and transported the injured passengers to Shalom Community Hospital so they could receive medical attention.
Thankfully, no casualties from the accident were reported. The accident caused significant traffic delays on the highway, and a recovery vehicle is currently attempting to lift up the overturned Matatu. As the concerned authorities continue to investigate the tragic accident, the extent of the victim’s injuries is still unknown at the moment.
