Joey Muthengi is one of the most beautiful women who has graced the entertainment scene in Kenya. The woman who would be arm-candy to any man is also smart to boot, so many would inevitably wonder why she isn’t taken yet?
Joey addressed the question in a recent interview with a certain radio station clarified that she was not planning to get married nor to have kids. Furthermore, the actress says that she is currently single, but dating.
”No, see that’s the thing. Most Kenyan men uta meet, obviously wanataka kukuoa, wanataka watoto. That’s not in my plan. That’s why I’m saying. I date and I go out socially and things like that. But mi hukuambia hio ni kitu siwezi kupatia… Siwezani. If I wanted that, ingekuwa by now because most of my friends are married or they have several kids by now.”
She said that her mother had accepted her decision not to get married or have kids.
In the past, the media personality Joey Muthengi said that she had to block a certain old politician who relentlessly pursued her when she worked as a news presenter at Citizen TV.
Speaking to comedian MC Jessy, she said, “Politicians are notorious and I have no idea why they like media girls. It’s crazy. When I was on TV and you know I used to host them every morning, there was one who kept calling me.”
Adding, “I had to block him, then he started WhatsApping me and I blocked him. Then one time I am at home and I see Parliament on true caller.”
Joey did not reveal the politician’s name but added that the situation made it awkward for her as she needed to host the politician a number of times on her show.
“I have never dated a politician but they seemed very interested in me. They are not single, all of them are married,” she said.
Speaking about relationships, Joy said she was looking for reputable online dating sites since dating in Nairobi is a mess, judging from her own experience. “I am looking for someone who will understand the real me, caring and someone who loves God and is driven.”
